The Viper Tennis Booster Doubles Tournament is the main fundraiser held every year by the Booster Club to support the Viper Tennis Team. Player registration is $100 and includes tennis, prizes, contests, music, food and a silent auction.
The tournament is open to women and men -- and you can sign up with or without a partner. Players of various skill levels (USTA 3.0-4.5) are accommodated and placed on teams. The teams then play each other in a Davis Cup style format. The winning team gets bragging rights and cool Viper Tennis prizes.
This is "not your momma's" doubles tournament! Almost anything goes. You can purchase tokens that allow you to replay a point, take a third serve, substitute a player, or win a game outright. Tokens are available for purchase during online registration and on-site all day during the tournament.
We know a full day of tennis makes you hungry! Player registration includes a wristband for the UT Club's famous "build your own taco" bar, plus chips and salsa! Additional food wristbands are available for spectators and may be purchased for $20.
Be sure to check out the silent auction during the tournament. Area merchants and other businesses have donated a variety of goods and services. Items up for bid include weekend getaways, restaurant gift cards, custom flower arrangements, artwork, themed gift baskets and so much more!
This event is hosted by the Vandegrift High School Viper Tennis Booster Club. The Viper Tennis Booster Club exists solely to support the VHS tennis team. Booster Club fundraising efforts cover team expenses such as tournament participation and travel costs, facility improvements (like on-court shading!), equipment and supplies.
